Snaps!

In this group project, we were given the task of making rootbeer packaging. We decided to do a healthy/prebiotic soda because those have taken off in popularity recently. The three keywords that we based our designs on were vibrant, vintage, and playful. My main contributions to this project were art direction and illustration. I took inspiration from vintage mascot characters when creating the pumpkin and Christmas tree illustrations. For the logo we wanted to create typography that felt like it’s from 1940’s sign painting, so Lainey created this custom script wordmark with bold and playful elements. The color pallet is a combination of vibrant colors paired with deep rich browns ranging from warm to cool tones. All together these elements create an eye-catching design that will catch the eye of shoppers amidst all of the other products.
